Point and click games matter! Not that I have to tell you extremely intelligent individuals that found this page. The secret of Monkey Island is often touted as the pinnacle of the genre, and rightfully so. It has a cast of memorable character including Bobbin Threadbare, and a monkey, and pirates I think (there has to be pirates). Oh, and puzzles, definitely puzzles. I've played this game a lot of times I know what I'm talking about.

First of all I'd like to address the monkey in the room. Get it, monkey. haha like Monkey Island. Instead of elephant. People usually say elephant. The mac version very bad not good, much blur, painful audio.

Now on to the Definitive Version:

The special edition of Monkey Island is a faithful adaptation that not only allows you to play the new version with updated hand-drawn graphics, voice over, and orchestral audio, but you can also seamlessly swap to the classic edition at any time. That being said, it is recommended by Definitive Version that you play in classic mode as its overall aesthetic captures the tone of the narrative.

**RECOMMENDED MODS**: If you truly want to get the best of both worlds you can modify the special edition so that it uses the voice acting while in classic mode.
