A divisive release that had a fanbase in shambles. Expecting a bigger darker follow up to Majora's mask. The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker's toon-like visuals took everyone by surprise. Similar to games like Street Fighter III, time has been kind to Wind Waker and many look back on the release fondly as a nice change of pace with some of the best puzzles the series has to offer.

Well, I feel as though this comes as no surprise that the HD remaster for Wii U is the Definitive Version of The Wind Waker. I'm not sure how many people this article will help, but there will be a few out there, that forgot about the Wii U release, or possibly never knew it existed.

Besides, I might as well have this page ready for the inevitable Switch 2 release.
