Wow I don't know how I missed the XBOX 360 release. I must have thought it was part of the original wave since it came out in the same year. Well I'm dumb and even without the additional cars and or races the Definitive Version of Need for Speed on XBOX 360 is impressive. The roads, shading, car textures, and more just make this release stand out above the rest. It really is a stellar looking game, and plays just as well, if not better than the other versions.
Its interesting when looking back how disappointed people were with this release. It was extremely early in the 360's lifespan so it wasn't highly optimized and maybe didn't “impress” people looking for an upgrade, but after looking back it would appear that this might not only be a positive, but a peak for the franchise.

The Definitive Version of Need For Speed: Most Wanted is the 2005 Black Edition on PC. The Black Edition's bonus cars and additional races set it apart from other releases. Not to mention the bonus features found on the additional DVD. The Black Edition was released on PS2 and XBOX at the same time, but the PC offers you a significantly better experience with improved graphics and a higher framerate.
